Kierunek Computer Science
Graduates of the first-cycle Computer Science programme are specialists prepared to meet the demands of a dynamically developing job market. They are proficient programmers and quickly adapt to the rapidly changing IT realities, particularly emerging technologies. Thanks to the study programme conducted in English and the use of modern teaching methods, including project-based and team-based work, graduates can communicate fluently in English and are prepared to work in interdisciplinary, international, and multicultural teams. Graduates are familiar with the issues of sustainable national development and the growing importance of processing, storing, transmitting, and securing electronic information.
The programme prepares graduates to formulate opinions and engage in discussions with specialists in computer science and related fields. Graduates can find employment as software designers and developers, programming team managers, and IT systems administrators. They are also prepared to work professionally in positions involving the organization and participation in large interdisciplinary teams, including international ones. Graduates are familiar with the opportunities to start their own business. They have developed a habit of continuing education and are prepared to continue their education at the second-cycle level in this field or related engineering disciplines.
