Study programme Smart Building Control Systems

Second-cycle studies in Intelligent Building Control Systems (SSIB) provide expanded and in-depth knowledge, along with practical skills in core subject areas. They enable students to undertake innovative actions related to eco-friendly urban and building design using building control systems and related technologies.

Graduates gain insight into current development trends and significant technological achievements. They are able to apply appropriate research methods and programming tools and environments to design and program advanced Building Automation and Control Systems (BACS), Building Management Systems (BMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and energy-efficient solutions with interoperable databases and digital twin technology.

During the course of study, students have the opportunity to engage in research and development work, including investigations related to energy processing and usage, as well as environmental quality.

The study program ensures that graduates:

• are prepared to work in technology and R&D centers of specialized domestic and international companies,
• can undertake diverse professional roles based on their comprehensive education,
• contribute to the promotion of sustainable development practices.

Students are trained to implement new technologies and design innovative solutions and systems.

Second-cycle studies equip graduates with competencies required for leadership positions in companies, as well as for running their own businesses. They prepare students to take on jobs and challenges in sectors that rely on advanced building technologies, modern electro-automation tools and solutions, communication and ICT systems, environmental engineering, and energy efficiency in construction.

Thanks to the interdisciplinary nature of their education, graduates can easily collaborate with installers, designers, technologists, architects, electricians, civil engineers, IT specialists, and other professionals, actively participating in project teams within both private and public sector organizations.

Graduates of the second-cycle program are also prepared to undertake research and continue their education at the doctoral (third-cycle) level.
