Study programme Environmental Engineering
Environmental Engineering is an engineering-oriented degree programme aimed at educating specialists with competencies in the design, analysis, and environmental assessment of processes and technical installations. The curriculum combines solid technical education with knowledge in the fields of environmental protection and sustainable development.
The scope of the programme includes issues related to water treatment technologies, wastewater treatment, waste management, reduction of pollutant emissions, and the assessment of infrastructure impacts on the environment. The programme provides preparation for the use of modern engineering tools, including CAD, GIS, numerical modelling, and process simulations, enabling technical analyses and the preparation of design documentation.
Graduates acquire competencies in conducting energy and environmental assessments, life cycle assessment (LCA) of products and buildings, carbon footprint calculation, and the interpretation of environmental data. The curriculum also covers environmental protection law, ESG and CSR principles, preparing graduates to participate in investment processes and to prepare documentation in compliance with applicable regulations and industry standards.
During the course of study, students may choose one of three individual diploma pathways:
· technical systems,
· energy and environmental audits,
· environmental protection systems.
The education is focused on designing solutions consistent with the principles of the circular economy, energy transition, and sustainable construction.
Graduates of the programme are prepared for employment in industry, public administration, consulting companies, design offices, and the renewable energy sector, combining technical expertise with environmental responsibility.
