Study programme Informatics

Graduates of the first-cycle Informatics programme are specialists prepared to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving job market. They are proficient programmers who can communicate in English and adapt quickly to the rapidly changing IT realities, particularly emerging technologies. They understand the issues of sustainable national development and the growing importance of electronic information processing, storage, transmission and security. The programme prepares graduates to formulate opinions and engage in discussion with computer science and related field specialists. They also possess the knowledge and skills required to solve problems relating to information technologies used in local government. Graduates are prepared for professional roles, including positions involving organisation and participation in large interdisciplinary teams. Graduates can find employment as software designers and developers, programming team managers, IT systems administrators, computer network designers and administrators, and IT systems security specialists. Graduates are familiar with the opportunities to start their own businesses. They have developed a habit of continuing education and are prepared to continue their studies at the second-cycle level in this field or related engineering disciplines.
